I’m Ela Bajarca and I'm a mixed media artist based in Auckland, New Zealand, where my deep love for nature inspires every piece I create.
My work is an exploration of texture, emotion, and colour - blending bold palettes with natural elements to create layered, expressive abstract artworks that invite you to pause, breathe, and feel.
My artistic journey began with landscape and seascape painting, moving between realism and abstraction. Over time, I discovered the world of mixed media - and everything changed. I fell in love with the freedom of texture, the energy of colour, and the excitement that comes from creating art that is not only seen, but experienced.
When I paint, I enter a space where time dissolves. The noise of the outside world fades away. Everything slows down.
Painting becomes more than a creative process - it becomes a form of therapy.
A reset.
A retreat for the mind.
To me, art is nourishment for the soul - like stepping away on a holiday without ever leaving the room.
It is my hope that my art and creative offerings bring a sense of calm, joy, and instant relaxation to those who experience them.
